The AVerMedia E506 CardBus Analog is a USB TV tuner card. The TV card also allows the user to receive FM signals. AVerMedia E506 CardBus Analog can capture and converts camcorder or VCR analogue signal to digital media. Some of the AVerMedia E506 CardBus Analog features include a 16:9 and 4:3 ration widescreen mode, which enables large display units viewing, a 16-channel preview, frequency scan/full channel, and auto-scan modes allow for different channels searching with a variety of preset channels depending on the location. The TV card is also integrated with an over-scan feature, which searches for clear signals and pre-sets the integrated video and FM channels to offer clear display and audio signal reception. Other additional features include an analogue video output, HDTV (1080i/720P) ready (DVB-T reception only), channel re-mapping and a full resizable TV window.

The AVerMedia E506 CardBus Analog provides SECAM and NTSC/PAL reception capability making the device ideal for use in mobile applications such as in cars and mobile display units. Although it’s an analogue device, it is integrated with DVB-T signal reception feature which receives digital signals depending on the locations signal transmission modes. It also supports HDTV format signal reception. The AVerMedia E506 CardBus Analog technical specifications include a 75Ohm (UHF/VHF) TV antenna and signal reception, S-Video, Composite Video, FM (RF Radio Antenna Input), and Stereo Audio L/R among others. The card bus controls several features of the PVR such as timeshift, mute/silent recording, TV scheduling and recording video in MPEG1 & 2 formats, multi snapshots (single and consecutive), fast channel scanning and switching, wake-up recording mode when the PVR is in stand-by or hibernate mode.
